Title A name given to the resource Publicidade e Propaganda Description An account of the resource A habitação de Publicidade da Universidade de Brasília tem mais de quatro décadas de existência. Sua fase inicial, entre fins dos anos 1960 e meados dos anos de 1980, contou com a participação efetiva de professores como Maria de Lourdes Moraes e Vinícius Lima, entre outros. Nessa etapa, o número de anos era bem inferior à habilitação de Jornalismo, a mais procurada pelos alunos naquela época. Hoje é a segunda habilitação em número de alunos. A partir da reforma curricular dos anos 1980, a habilitação passou por uma reformulação, com o aumento das disciplinas específicas e a contração de novos professores em áreas, como criação, direção de arte, planejamento, mídia, além das disciplinas voltadas para a formação dos comunicadores. Nessa segunda etapa, a habilitação passou a aumentou o número de ingresso de alunos de 25 para mais de 200, como se encontra atualmente. A proposta é fazer uma comparação entre dois bairros de classes sociais não-privilegiados. A idéia é buscar as imagens fotográficas mais representativas das condições de vida desses dois lugares. Como exemplo, desde crianças sendo atendidas num posto de saúde até a imagem de alguns homens bebendo num boteco. Interessa o tipo de boteco, as roupas, a postura, o olhar; não interessa a intensidade da pobreza, se sofrem, o quanto sofrem, como sofrem. O objetivo é enfocar situações congruentes em ambos bairros, e colocá-las lado a lado. Os bairros escolhidos são a Agrovila São Sebastião, em Brasília e o bairro Borro em Montevidéu, no Uruguai. A Agrovila foi eleita por se tratar de um ex-assentamento agrícola e que a pouco tempo vem sendo invadida como cidade dormitório. A situação por lá não é das dez piores, mas não há dúvidas que os problemas de saúde, saneamento básico e habitação dão a esse bairro um tom de miséria. O desejo não é ser moralista e mostrar o caos, o desejo é de simplesmente mostrar o caos, o contraste entre uma vida difícil no Brasil e outra no Uruguai. Sua fase inicial, entre fins dos anos 1960 e meados dos anos de 1980, contou com a participação efetiva de professores como Maria de Lourdes Moraes e Vinícius Lima, entre outros. Nessa etapa, o número de anos era bem inferior à habilitação de Jornalismo, a mais procurada pelos alunos naquela época. Hoje é a segunda habilitação em número de alunos. A partir da reforma curricular dos anos 1980, a habilitação passou por uma reformulação, com o aumento das disciplinas específicas e a contração de novos professores em áreas, como criação, direção de arte, planejamento, mídia, além das disciplinas voltadas para a formação dos comunicadores. Nos anos 1990, passou a contar com a agência-modelo 296, feita a partir de um projeto final dos alunos e que se encontra em plena atividade. Com a reformulação curricular dos anos 2000, além das disciplinas oferecidas em sala de aula, a habilitação passou a dispor de um Laboratório de Publicidade, que funciona em instalações apropriadas, contando com espaços próprios semelhantes aos departamentos de uma agência de publicidade, mas voltada para a formação acadêmica dos alunos, unindo os estudos às práticas profissionais. Desde o ínicio deste ano, foram registrado no Brasil, 25 acidentes a cada 10 mil veículos que trafegam nas estradas. Enquanto nos Estados Unidos, esta taxa é de 3 acidentes e no Japão de 2,5. Também, nesses primeiros 8 meses do ano, e a cada 10 mil veículos, foram registrados, na Ponte Rio-Niterói, o total de 290 acidentes com 103 feridos e 5 mortos. Este número representa um índice de 0,13 ocorrências a cada 10 mil veículos. Com o objetivo de mudar esses índices, o Governo Federal gerou um decreto tornando 1994 o Ano Nacional de Educação para o Trânsito. E nós, jornalistas que na maioria das vezes divulgamos esses trágicos acidentes, temos também a responsabilidade de engajar nessa campanha educativa para que, através de nosso trabalho, possamos ajudar a reverter esse quadro drámatico que temos no Brasil hoje. Por isso, juntando o nosso dever com a nossa indignação perante essas tragédias do trânsito, demos origem à essa campanha educativa na qual usaremos 10 spots contendo informações que possam levar motoristas a repensarem suas condutas no volante e posteriormente corrigirem suas falhas.
